Wedding Requirements
Our dedicated staff of wedding planners are here to help you with all wedding requirements and make sure you have everything you need before you say “I do.”
To obtain a marriage license in Barbados, you must:
- Be in Barbados one working day prior to the wedding to allow time for the paperwork to be processed. (No blood test is required.)
- Have a valid passport and birth certificate
- If either party was divorced , an original decree absolute or a certified copy of Final Judgment not decree Nisi.
If the Decree Absolute is in a foreign language, it must be translated by an authorized public notary.
- If either party was married previously and widowed , a certified copy of the marriage certificate and death certificate in respect of the deceased spouse.
- If one of the parties is under 18 years old, evidence of consent of parents is required in the form of a sworn affidavit stamped by a public notary.
- NB: Original copies of your documentation should be carried with you to Barbados.
- Go to the registry to collect your marriage license.
- Hand-deliver your documents to a pastor provided by the resort. You will be met in the resort by said pastor.
- Do not mail except when applying for express service.
- Application for a marriage license must be made by both parties in person, at the office of the Ministry of Home Affairs in Bridgetown (Tel: 246-228-8950)

Choose to have your ceremony amidst tropical flowers and bright foliage at this historic sugar mill. Or exchange vows on the pristine beach with the sounds of waves lapping in the background.

Reception & Menu
We recommend contacting our wedding coordinator at each resort to discuss your personal needs and desires when it comes to planning your customized reception.
A reception dinner can be arranged for up to twenty people at one of the restaurants on property as part of the all inclusive program. The wedding party has to dine from the menu that is being served at that particular restaurant that day/evening. In order for the reception dinner to be part of the all inclusive rate, the wedding guests must be a guest of the resort. If the guests are staying off property, they must purchase a pass in order to attend the wedding and reception. The reception has to take place within the time period the restaurant is open for service.
The Wedding in Heaven Package - includes a special celebration dinner for the bride and groom. You can choose to have it at the reception dinner or another night. If the wedding couple wants the guests to be served the special celebration menu there will be an additional charge of $40.00 per person for Almond guests and $75.00 for off property guests.
