Wedding Requirements

Our dedicated staff of wedding planners are here to help you with all wedding requirements and make sure you have everything you need before you say “I do.”

To obtain a marriage license in St. Lucia, you must:

Be in St. Lucia three working days prior to the wedding to allow time for the paperwork to be processed. (No blood test is required.)
Have a valid passport and birth certificate
If either party was divorced , an original decree absolute or a certified copy of Final Judgment not decree Nisi.
If the Decree Absolute is in a foreign language, it must be translated by an authorized public notary.
If either party was married previously and widowed , a certified copy of the marriage certificate and death certificate in respect of the deceased spouse.
If one of the parties is under 18 years old, evidence of consent of parents is required in the form of a sworn affidavit stamped by a public notary.
If a name, has been changed, a Deed Poll is required.
NB: Original copies of your documentation should be carried with you to St Lucia.
Hand-deliver your documents to a solicitor provided by the resort. You will be met in the resort by said solicitor.
